So that you are aware, Abiogenesis is the development of living organisms from non living precursors, some of the early stages may have taken place in space, according to David Darling’s Extraterrestrial Encyclopedia.
They came right up to the car, two entities resembling domestic cats, one tanned with a black striped tail, one orange tabby with a white striped tail, frigid and starving, she gave them her sandwiches. When she got onto the motorway, the tanned one with the black striped tail told her, my name is Piers, could you play some jazz music please? She put on her favorite jazz station, then the orange tabby with his mouth full of salami, told her to turn it down please, it was a bit too loud for his comfort, his name was Manu. Piers wanted her to turn it up and blare it out, Manu wanted it as feeble as possible, like those muted murmurs one can sometimes hear reverberating as background noise, they commenced arguing rather emphatically, before long the argument turned physical, Manu slapped Piers first, Piers slapped him back, they kept slapping each other back and forth, the thwacks becoming more robust at each swat, following that they bit each other, wrestling vigorously in the backseat. She turned off the radio, hoping that would make them desist fighting, Piers asked, what happened to the music? She replied, it will stay off until you both cease fighting. They dummied up soon after that, becoming drowsy after an hour or so, snuggling up together, falling into slumber, sleeping like that, they appeared like any other domestic cat. She had hunger pains now, albeit they had eaten everything, including the super sized bag of potato chips. Stopping at one of the motor services, fried chicken sounded good, she would eat it in the car. Getting back to the car, the cats were no longer the same domestic cats she had picked up on the side of the road, transmogrified into a prehistoric looking breed of some sort, taking up the entire backseat, humongous claws, elongated fangs, their ears had extended ponderously and pointily, both had cyanotic eyes with yellow points like stars moving within their orbs. Taking note of her, they both asked her, could we have some fried chicken please?

POEM:Carry on the carrion
Plucked apart at the seams
A festering noxious oblivion
Shrouded in Moorish misery that screamsOur love spills out the soul
Like bloody viscera undone
Consecrated and extolled
Holy vows we can’t outrunI wear your grief like wedding lace
