Director's Statement:
The film TODAY ARTIST, TONIGHT TAXIST is about the last hours in the life of a young rocker from Chisinau. Because of the social circumstance, the young man can’t live the way he likes - just making music. He has to practice other jobs, so he can keep up financially. One of these jobs is taxi driving, which he practices occasionally, without knowing how to drive very well. This state of affairs results in a terrible accident, in which he dies with a German customer, who has come to look for the grave of his grandfather, dead in World War II. The story of TODAY ARTIST, TONIGHT TAXIST, reflects the artist's condition in Moldova and most Eastern European countries.
