RESONANCIA, 38min., USA
Directed by Ted Nash, Cathy Barbash
In the heart of Havana, Grammy-winning composer Ted Nash invites young Cuban musicians to find inspiration in the colors and forms of a museum’s paintings. What begins as a search for melody becomes an awakening, as students uncover hidden voices within themselves—discovering passion, courage, and untapped creativity. Their week of exploration blooms into a radiant concert before more than a thousand people, where art and music merge into a testament of self-discovery and the boundless power of expression.

THE HERO OUTSIDE THE SPOTLIGHT, 37min., Austria
Directed by Konrad Weixelbraun
Wolfgang Hollegha was one of the most famous abstract painters in Europe after the Second World War. When he was awarded the Guggenheim Prize 1958 and the Carnegie Prize 1961, he was celebrated as the new star in the art world in the USA, but Wolfgang Hollegha decided to follow his heart and he returned home to Austria after ten weeks in New York. It was too loud and too hectic for him and he missed nature that surrounded him since he was a child. He bought a three hundred year old house hidden in the Austrian mountains and built a unique studio in the woods. After twenty years outside the spotlight without any public appearance, Wolfgang Hollegha gave me the opportunity to talk about his life once again, he showed me his extraordinary collection of paintings and let me record his final interview before he died. It's a portrait of a man who could have had it all, fame and fortune, but he has chosen to live a humble family life.
