Blizzard of Love
By Julianne DeMartino
It was December 26th, A blizzard in NYC.
I waited outside Track 28.
It occurred to me he might not look the same as he did 25 years earlier.
I looked back at the gate nervously.
He appeared and tilted his head. I remembered that trait of his.
We walked through the city. The snow embraced us. He touched the small of my back.
We drank champagne at the SoHo Grand.
When you don’t know, you’re waiting; time is easeful.
He is the love of my life.
I’ll tell him on the next date
