Director Biography - Chris Ballinger

Chris Ballinger resides in Orlando but grew up in the Northeast, where his mother made a name for herself as a pastel artist; this is where his love of art started. Chris started as an actor but realized he loved being behind the camera; now, he’s an award-winning indie short filmmaker and screenwriter. His award-winning short film Little Z was turned into a TV series called Saving Little Z. Along with the pilot, he has also turned the series into a comic book. He’s also working on a podcast called the Horror Comedy Hangout, dedicated to honoring the horror-comedy genre, coming out in September 2024. He has a new psychological horror short film, UnPerfect, that premiered at the OIF Aura Challenge this past September, winning Best Director, Actor, and Sound. He’s working on his new fantasy film, Black Forest, and a documentary film, Guardian. He enjoys getting out, meeting people, and talking about his passion as a creator.
