Director Statement
I have encountered many of the themes in the film, including immigration, having a single parent, and the yearning to belong.
As a hyperactive child, I often felt out of place in a daunting world. I'm eternally grateful for the nurturing educators and mentors who showed me the beauty of life. While some are no longer with us, their encouraging words propel me forward daily.
I aspire to portray the world's inherent beauty, even amid occasional shadows. With this film, I aim to reach out to those feeling hopeless and overwhelmed, reassuring them of the existence of kind-hearted souls. Every child deserves to be free, dream big, and develop the spirit to realize those dreams.
