DER FLEDERMAUS (Nazis in Newark), 19min., USA
Directed by Chris Frieri
If Nazis in Europe embodied the Banality of Evil, the little known story of Nazis in Newark is its flip-side, the Absurdity of Evil. Using history as a point of departure, Der Fledermaus envisions a Nazi invasion of Newark, New Jersey, a hotbed of pro-fascist sentiment in the years leading up to the war. The film is a mixture of historical footage and fantastical narrative, sans dialogue with added sound and an original musical score. It connects the past with today’s sense of impending fascism, and it’s equally paradoxical mix of the evil and the ludicrous.
GIVING EVERYTHING, 3min., USA

A man unravels trying to make it to work on time.
DIE GLOCKE, 4min., Malta

THE ORBITRONS, 47min., USA
Directed by Chris Frieri
Lone wolf biker, Kubash, has a night of auto-erotic stimulation interrupted by the arrival of extra-terrestrial, genocidal space Goddess, Starleatha. With her natural beauty and her ghoulish gift for raising the dead, she is contemplating an earth wide coup d’état. Will Kubash manage to salvage mankind as we know it, or will Starleatha give birth to a new, trans-human, master race? Born from the collective rib of Ed Wood and John Waters the film filters 1950's Sci-Fi through a 1980's underground lens.
