Cass and John start dating but while he is full of optimism, she is still recovering from a bad breakup with Craig. As Cass tries to work out what she wants, Craig aims to get her back while John falls ill. Realising the latter is the future, Cass aids his recovery and soon the two grow closer than ever before.
