"Kennel Club," is a heartwarming romantic comedy that combines the
charm of "Hitch" with the beloved canines of "Beethoven." Set in Los
Angeles, the story revolves around a talented yet mistrustful dog
groomer, who prefers the company of dogs over men due to previous
relationship nightmares. Facing financial troubles that threaten her
business, she hatches a secret plan to rent out the dogs she grooms to
the socially-awkward members of her chess club, hoping they can use
the furry companions to attract women. Little does she know, fate has
a surprise in store.
She becomes the dating coach to a new member of the chess club, a
fast-talking TV pitchman who uses his TV voice to throw her off her
game when they play chess. When he uses the dogs to meet women, her
own dog knows best, bringing the two together despite their initial
disdain for each other due to their competitive nature.
