Set in a small Central Pennsylvania town, “When I Say Blue” is a short script that follows 2 aging former High-School football team-mates that haven’t seen each other in years. Will, Caucasian, was the quarterback of the team, while ‘A-Train’, African-American, was the running back and heart of the team. When Will’s daughter asks Anthony’s son to the Homecoming Dance, the two have to come back together to figure out the details. 30 years after they lost the biggest game of their lives, there is still animosity between them. But the 2 comically and clumsily have to work through it, with the help of their friends and community, for the sake of their children.
Faith, Family, and Football. But not necessarily in that order.
