6m 16s
When Ahmed, also known as Ashry, moves from Port Said to Cairo for university, he finds himself in a city where he can finally pursue his childhood dream of acting. Ashry, who’s a physiotherapy student at Cairo University, finds himself spending time in the university’s theater more than in its classrooms. Through Ashry’s eyes, we see Cairo as more than just a city; it’s a main character in the story of a young dreamer, a cinematic one that both inspires and tests him. The film explores how this oddly beautiful, Hollywood-like city treats a young man with an unprecedented dream.
