UNDERLINE, 6min., USA, Dance
Directed by Paula Nunez, Tiger Tao
Tampa City Ballet's short independent film, "UN-DER-LINE,”as well as the live performance of the same name examines the manifestation of the “othering” phenomenon which explores the effect exclusion has on people’s perception of themselves, the world, and their place in society. This concept reflects a clear distinction between “us” and “them,” the “self” and "the others” and is inspired by the exploration of tunnels and other things that hide beneath the surface.
