An incoming young projectionist comes to a traditional movie theatre where he instantly falls in love with projecting movies.The projectionist is driven by the magic of film. As he gets older, he starts noticing that his movie theatre is losing regular viewers. He does his best to take care of the theatre to avoid lower attendance at his theatre. As more time passes by, he keeps on fighting with the decreasing interest even though he can't seem to attract a new audience.
Director Biography - Adam Niezgoda
Adam Niezgoda is a young aspiring director. He graduated from the Secondary technical School of Communication Technologies Panská in Prague field of study Film and Television Production. He graduated with the film The Projectionist. He participated in the MSF Awards 2021 with short documentary Rak na skejtu. In addition to directing, he is actively involved in photography and works as a cinematographer for Czech Television.
Director Statement
The film PROJECTIONIST is an expression of love to cinematography. Everybody remembers with love the trips to the cinema to see new movies. However, who is behind the projector? Man with an unquenchable passion for film.
