THE CHOICE, 4min., China
Directed by Ziming Zhou
A person's life is the result of countless choices, some of which can lead to instantaneous and unattainable success, while others can lead to the abyss of doom. But most of these choices have a slow and continuous impact on people, and we may not realise until we make that choice that the gears of destiny have already begun to turn at that very moment. This film is the story of an ambitious young music student who sits down at a fate-given piano to play his future. As the notes ring out, we can hear Chopin, Liszt, and Bach at his fingertips, as well as the choice he ultimately makes.
