After being thrown out by his parents, a young, homeless, trans man fights for survival on the gritty streets of Los Angeles until he can get on his feet again. After struggling to earn money panhandling, an unhoused woman living on the streets for 16 years shows him the ropes.

1. What motivated you to make this film?
I think the homelessness crisis is horrific and I'm appalled at the lack of compassion and empathy for the unhoused. I wanted to do a film that humanizes homelessness.
2. From the idea to the finished product, how long did it take for you to make this film?
The entire process was a year and a half.
3. How would you describe your film in two words!?
Homelessness crisis!
4. What was the biggest obstacle you faced in completing this film?
Getting everyone involved on the same page creatively.
5. What were your initial reactions when watching the audience talking about your film in the feedback video?
It's a little awkward but it was a relief to hear people say positive things.
6. When did you realize that you wanted to make films?
I've known all my life.
7. What film have you seen the most in your life?
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
8. What other elements of the festival experience can we and other festivals implement to satisfy you and help you further your filmmaking career?
Helping get the word out.
9. You submitted to the festival via FilmFreeway. How has your experiences been working on the festival platform site?
They've been great. I've used FilmFreeway for years.
10. What is your favorite meal?
Chicken Parm.
11. What is next for you? A new film?
Getting my first feature made!
