Director Statement
In my films, I've always loved to explore different romantic relationship dynamics and how just because they appear happy does not necessarily mean they are. Also, whether or not being perfectly happy is even possible. While the story contains elements of humor and the overall tone is rather light, the theme is actually quite important. Representing the queer community makes the film relatable and more relevant for today's modern audiences. Though discovering that Pamela is actually seeing the same woman as Ben may seem like a comical plot twist it is actually symbolic of so much more not only within society, but also the complexities of romantic relationships.
