Get to know the screenwriter:
1. What is your screenplay about? We've all heard of marital bliss. This is the opposite of marital bliss.
2. What genres does your screenplay fall under? Farce comedy
3. Why should this screenplay be made into a movie? It shouldn't. I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole (I lied- I am making a movie of it and will post it to Youtube as soon as I properly finish cleaning my bathroom)
4. How would you describe this script in two words? Utterly tasteless.
5. What movie have you seen the most times in your life? Either The Third Man or The 39 Steps. But when it comes to comedy inspiration, It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World is a great one.
6. How long have you been working on this screenplay? I think I wrote it in the bathroom.
7. How many stories have you written? Stories- half a dozen; screenplays, a dozen.
8. What is your favorite song? (Or, what song have you listened to the most times in your life?) Desafinado (Bossa Nova in general)
9. What obstacles did you face to finish this screenplay? I had to overcome my usually impeccable sense of dignity and taste.
10. Apart from writing, what else are you passionate about? The beauty and wonders of nature.
11. You entered your screenplay via FilmFreeway. What has been your experiences working with the submission platform site? It is very user friendly.
12. What influenced you to enter the festival? What were your feelings on the initial feedback you received? Wildsound has done some fantastic work with some of my other comedies, beginning with Cleopatra's Revenge, then The Problem With Moon Men (which I will be filming soon), and now this- great actors- they should get back to live table readings, though!
