A PSYCHEDELIC JOURNEY, 12min,. India
Directed by Jaimil Joshi
In the day and age when traveling is the new fad, there’s a trip that everyone should refrain from. Yes, it’s a trip that one goes upon by consuming intoxicating substances. The trip of drugs and other such chemicals takes control over one’s mind and creates hallucinations. It starts with a hint of attraction, be it because of the influence of one’s immediate peers or that of social media. It always starts with the thrill of ‘trying’ it and experiencing the much-hyped and unknown, which usually turns out as a trap. The trip forward mostly goes downhill from attraction to experimentation, followed by hallucination and ultimately subjugation. All that looked like a mere attempt to experience the ecstasy often turns one into a slave of the substance. Unless the light of external support and internal will to come out it is strong and determinant enough, backed with a lot of effort.
