GADGETS, 4min., Brazil
Directed by Perfectum Planetarum
Film about the Perfectum Planetarum's collection GADGETS is inspired by how modern gadgets fill people's lives. The clothing features repeated sculptural and geometric shapes, sometimes taking inspiration directly from the modern electronics themselves. The designer experimented with sculpture to create a look and feel reminiscent of modern gadgets. They also explored how to combine hardware with the human form and animatronics to increase functionality. The goal was to contrast the esthetic appreciation of modern technology with the fundamental way humans interact with the world through their shape and movement. The designer conducted several experiments in humanoid sculpture to determine the best way to achieve this.
