Tatiana wakes up confused about where she is, what happened the night before, and why there's a gorgeous man sleeping next to her. She discreetly makes her way to the washroom to avoid disturbing her mystery partner, until she discovers an unwanted surprise. She hurries back to the bed and finds out that her worst nightmare has come true. She's left a giant red period stain on the bed. Suddenly, Tatiana feels like a criminal in a crime scene and does everything in her power to hide the evidence. Despite her best efforts of hiding the stain, it only gets worse. She ends up calling her best friend Sarah to come to the rescue. Just as she's about to escape, Tatiana realizes that maybe she's not so guilty of a crime after all.

13 STROKES...., 7min., Greece

To write and create the short art experimental film “13 Strokes…” [Dark Traces (Collective), Publishing House Iliaxtida, Athens, September 2022] i was inspired by my short story “Thirteen Strokes”, concentrating on the heart of the narrative, the uncured trauma that keeps on taking up space in the thoughts and ends up consuming vital energy. Sometimes by appearing in the dreams in different or repetitive forms, even in an evolving way, in time. Time was an essential element in my short film. Time that people spend on important relationships creating deep bonds, from which stems a thread that goes beyond our dimension, beyond death and inevitably determines our lives. Another important element, as a different facet of the conception of the idea of time, was the internalization of the experience and the subjectivity in which the experience is kept in the memory and maybe mentally revived or relived.

In Canada, 58% of the food we produce is wasted. Food waste is a problem that needs to be examined and tackled at every link in the supply chain, from farmers to retailers and consumers. Reducing food waste can help save money, improve food security, support efficiency in the agriculture and food sector, and significantly reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. In Canada, emissions from municipal landfills represents the second largest source of methane, after fossil fuels.

The title ‘From a Barren State’ represents the barren land that Lena was rescued from only to serve a childless barren woman who falsely promised to hydrate the barren life of Lena through kindness. It represents the journey of Lena from wandering in a barren land to the comfort of a home; alongside the journey of Martha from a barren woman to the desire of being a mother which ultimately seals her fate.
