Timid fifth grader, BETH (10), believes it’s her and her best friend against the world until she hears that periods are contagious and her best friend has suddenly been infected. Left in the dark about the female body, Beth grapples with letting her friend get bullied or protecting her with the risk of catching the Period Disease.
