Cherry! (red), 3min., USA
Directed by Tim DeKay
At the stroke of five, mechanic's gear gives way to rented tuxedos for two young couples in Los Angeles. With keys to the shop owner's cherished cherry-red convertible, the foursome embarks on a buoyant, Alternative EDM joyride. Mirroring the film's self-aware, cinematic style, their "fancy" night out is a charmingly ironic detour to an In-N-Out Burger. The adventure culminates with a heartfelt homage: a surprise makeshift drive-in cinema, proving that life's greatest nights require only young love, a borrowed car, and a little imagination. This is Ifsowhatfor's stylish, tongue-in-cheek ode to youth and simple pleasures.
