The dream of these singers has always been the strength of people’s struggle of saving their own lives and resources. They themselves compose the songs, sing the same and encourage people to dream. For the last few years, they have been in front of all resistance struggles in the eastern part of India. We can found the same singers-cum-activist in anti-mining struggle areas, in farmers’ struggle around the reservoir and in save forest movement etc, This film is based on life and dream of few composers-cum-singers of Odisha/India.

Director Statement
This film ‘a dream in their songs’ was not made in one trip. I was following each and every character of this film since five years. As documentary filmmaker, we often wait for the event to happen, not that we would organize the event and do shooting. So, I was going with the team of these singers to all those places where these singers were performing their songs and were mobilizing. All these singers have come from similar backgrounds. All of them are involved with the process to save their own nature and life within it.
