VINYL BEGINNING, 4min., USA, Drama
Directed by Lulu Chiang
An 80-year-old man reminisces his good old days in a vinyl record shop full of his childhood memories. He sits on the same seat, picks his favorite album, and closes his eyes. As vinyl spins and melody goes on, it brings out all the chapters of his life throughout the 80 years. We see the prime and the early stage of his life sitting on the same seat, listening to the same song, but each managing their current task and state of mind. The film ends with real-life pictures of the elderly (my grandpa) through the stages of his life from kid to becoming father and grandfather with a family filled with love.
