Submit a TV SPEC SCREENPLAY or ORIGINAL TV PILOT and get the chance to see your script read out loud at our Screenplay Festival using professional actors and seen in front of industry types.
A great way to get your words out there and obtain the Agent you're looking for or just get your script seen by more people.
DEFINITION OF A TV SPEC SCREENPLAY - A script written from an already existing show (CSI, Curb Your Enthusiasm etc.) using the same characters and situations of that show. It's mainly used for agents to see the quality of your writing by seeing how you write characters, plots, themes with an already established and successful template. And for TV show runners to see the same.
The TOP winners will then have their script read out loud at WILDsound's next event using some of the best actors working today.
Also, all winners get to be a guest on WILDsound's popular coast to coast radio show and promote your script and your career to the world!
The RULES are simple:
1. Send us an original TV PILOT OR write a TV script from an existing show that is currently on the air. (Rule of thumb is to limit new characters in the script as much as possible and write the stories behind the main characters). Script must be presented in proper screenplay format.
2. Email your script to info@wildsound.ca in .pdf, .doc, .wpd, .rtf, or .fdr format.
In the body in the email please add your:
- FULL NAME
- CITY AND COUNTRY
- TITLE OF SCRIPT
- TYPE OF SCRIPT (feature, TV, short)
- (optional) and a 1-2 line synopsis of your screenplay.
OR send your submission with a check for $40 to: WILDsound Film Festival, 77 St. Clair Avenue East, Toronto, Ontario, Canada M4T 1M5. Make sure your ink cartridges are full before printing and mailing your submission so the script is fully legible.
3. Pay the $40 submission fee via the green button below or include a cheque payable to WILDsound Film Festival.

There is no reading series like it!
Over the last two years WILDsound has given many screenwriters the opportunity to network with other filmmakers, distributors, agents and producers. We have read over 320 scripts, 75 of which have been produced and are now appearing at various film festivals, theaters and TV networks all over the world.
But mainly what this contest does is give exposure to the writer. They will be able to obtain a solid agent, plus get notice by producers looking for writers to work on their scripts. As you'll notice, the winning videos online are extremely popular videos and get seen by 10000s of people.
