In 2009, the Apollo Studios in Toronto produced the music soundtrack for 3 Scrabble films produced by Wizz , a french production company. In gratitude Wizz offered to produce the music video "Stupid People" performed by the Dirty Deeds.
It was also a way for two of the directors of Wizz to express themselves: the “Flying V " (Clément Soulmagnon and Gary Levesque). They chose to work on a less than 2 minute-sample of the track. This was a way of concentrating the animation in a visual rhythm, more dense than what we normally see in music videos.
The Flying V ensured the whole creation, design and film direction (live action as well as animation). Their influences clearly refer to the 90s Japanese mangas, such as The Knights of the Zodiac, Fist, or Dragon Ball Z.
We are all very proud to see that the originality of the project has beenpicked up on by many Internet users and that it is currently a hit on the web !
