SUMMER'S KISS, by Andrew Case.
The ether of an early sunrise
I miss all the smell of butterflies
Through the warm June mornings
And the long Julys.
Young children strewn beneath the shade
And the cicada's tale of a bed unmade
The harp of a young bride's melody
And the song of a young boy came to be
Known so early through the mist-two children touch, a Summer's kiss.
Two children somewhere sit and wait
A pair of lips to meet their fate
A stream of silence came to be
And somewhere passed eternity
Through Spring's great joy and Summer's bliss
I'll be, forever
In Summer's kiss.
