Born in 1954 in Oklahoma into an acting family, Howard himself got his start in showbiz as a child actor. By his twenties however he had become focussed on directing; 1977’s Grand Theft Auto, in which Howard starred, was his first big break in the director’s chair.

He has continually worked proficiently on quality mainstream fare, winning the Best Director Oscar for 2001’s A Beautiful Mind.

Ron is the co-chairman of Imagine Entertainment, seeing him as one of the most powerful players in both film and television production.
