Robert Rodriguez - Born in Texas in 1968, Rodriguez began making his own films at an early age, guerilla-style. His school projects already displayed a distinct style of comedy-laced action.

Rodriguez’s first independent feature, El Mariachi, won the Audience Award at the 1992 Sundance Festival. Given a mainstream release and met with cult success, Robert had opened the gates of cheap ’n’ quick crowd-pleasing Indies. He followed with a string of such successes, elevated by teaming with Quentin Tarrantino on many (e.g. Grindhouse).

Rodriguez runs Troublemaker Studios, and also produces many kid-friendly flicks (e.g. Spy Kids).
