Growing up in New Jersey, Kali spent his early years writing stories and drawing comic books. It wasn't until the eighth grade that he dropped the pen and pencil and picked up a video camera. Soon after he was blazing a path through Columbia High School's award-winning CCN Network and film program. In the few years since, Kali has been able to establish himself as a consummate media professional and artist on the rise.
Kali's directorial debut, the short film "Johnny's Leaving", has screened at seven juried film festivals, including the New York City International Film Festival, and won Best Undergraduate Film at the Diamond Screen Film Festival. He has worked as an event videographer and editor for DigPhilly.com, a subsidiary of NBC10 Philadelphia, a videographer and editor for Ebony/Jet Online, and as a producer and head videographer for one of Foot Locker's in-store media campaigns. In addition, through the groundbreaking media company Truly Unique Vision, Kali has traveled throughout the United States as a market research videographer for clients ranging from McDonalds to Gillette. He was also a producer for the company's website TUVOnline.com and served as a producer, editor and videographer on dozens of online videos ranging from artistic performances to news programs.
