Jonah D. Ansell is an award-winning MFA graduate of USC's School of Cinematic Arts and a magna cum laude graduate of Amherst College. He serves as CEO & Chief Storyteller at JAMS, a boutique, LA-based production company, where he develops stories and scripts for film and TV. A former NCAA pitcher whose ability to throw a 92-mph fastball was undercut by his inability to find the strike zone, Ansell launched and sold a humor magazine to National Lampoon at age 25.

He wrote and produced the award-winning film First Bass, shot on-site at Chicago's Wrigley Field, starring Style Rookie Tavi Gevinson, Strangers With Candy's Gregory Hollimon and American Movie's Mark Borchardt. He then went on to write and direct the animated film Cadaver, starring Christopher Lloyd, Tavi Gevinson and Academy Award winner Kathy Bates.

He and his creative work have been featured on TV, in print and online at NBC, ABC, FOX, USA Today, Entrepreneur, Glamour, PRWeek, Sports Illustrated, Yahoo! Sports, FHM, Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun-Times, Atlanta Journal Constitution, as well as in two recent books, Living What You Love and How I Scored That Gig. Ansell originally hails from the hard-knock cul-de-sacs of Oak Park, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. He and his wife Jamie are the proud owners of two marginally housebroken mutts.
