Born in 1972 in the North of France, Jean-François Méplon began his professional career in Paris in 1995. After skimming through the various aspects of the audiovisual world, he settled on editing and honed his trade in traditional editing rooms. He perfected his skills with virtual editing which he now exclusively uses in all his productions.
Many hours later, spent in editing news specials, short programs and mostly documentaries for all of France TV stations, he decided to enrich his experience by seeking international exposure.
He fell in love with Montreal one fated summer and in 2000 settled there. From then on he focused on writing and directing feeling like he had come to the end of what he could learn in editing and eager to trade new territories. Indeed, in this city, which proved so inspiring for him he was able to develop concepts for French and English speaking television throughout Canada.Since then, he created several TV programs, completed numerous projects and realized several corporate films via his company “Com and See.” For him there is no such thing as a small movie or a small budget. As a true creator, he shares his ideas generously and takes on the challenge of carrying multiple hats on any given project in order to adapt to his clients needs and vision.
