Born in Italy in 1897, Capra immigrated to New York at the age of six. He was determined to seek his piece of the “American Dream” and so pursued education, and show-biz.
Capra held a wide variety of odd jobs in film-making, eventually parlaying his self-driven directorial efforts into great studio success.
Films such as You Can’t Take it With You and It’s a Wonderful Life represent his continuous through-themes of personal courage, and… the American Dream. Frank Capra died in 1991.
