Doron Kipper discovered his love for directing in 2002 working asan Associate Director for Metropolitan Educational Theatre Network.
For six years, he helped teach and direct hundreds of children and adults and worked on stage and backstage in over forty productions across California. Between theatrical productions, Doron discovered his passion for filmmaking; working as a 1st and 2nd Assistant Director, Cinematographer (16mm & HD), Scuba Videographer, Theatrical Videographer, Still Photographer, Script Supervisor, and continuously working as an Editor for more than eight years.
Doron’s first short film, The Warning (2004), was screened at theArclight Hollywood as a selection in the 6th Annual ExtremeFilmmaker 48 Hour Film Festival. Six years later, his latest film, Misdirection, premiered at the prestigious Academy of Television Arts & Sciences theatre as one of the five films screened at the 2010 CSUN Senior Film Showcase. Misdirection is the result of the tremendous collaboration of over 200 students and professionals to create a magical and entertaining film. As a performing magician since age five, Doron is thrilled to bring his excitement for the art of Magic into his passion for filmmaking. He aspires to direct feature films that excite the imagination and, above all, entertain audiences. He is determined to create truly unique theatrical experiences that take advantage of the big screen and to create fantastic worlds in which audiences can immerse themselves.
