ANTONIO RENA-BARLIN ANTONIO RENA-BARLIN Antonio’s latest short film, SUBURBIA is in official Selection for the 2010 Sydney Film Festival Dendy Awards. Antonio is also the writer, director and producer of the acclaimed short film, DESPERATE DEEDS, as well as creating and producing the televised comedy segments, CALL ME AL, for Channel 7. The comedy series was based on his highly celebrated TROPFEST short film of the same name, depicting a Sydney Olympic volunteer that just couldn’t let go…. Antonio is also television commercial director for ROTOR STUDIOS for companies such as Toyota, Lexus, McDonalds & many others. His long form slate includes the animated tv series, JUSTICE THRUSTERS, which has been optioned and is being developed by Ambience Entertainment and the Omnilab Group. Antonio’s feature screenplay, ANGRY YOUNG MAN, is a successfulrecipient of Screen Australia’s Indivision program and received NSWFTO & Screen Australia script funding.
